Boaz.....

The Word of God is active. Like a double edged sword Heb 4: 12. Penetrates to the deepest and innermost part of a person. We often see this as a very “negative” verse- but it is not also a violence type verse or a convicting of sin type verse. In every situation, which we go through in life, we should have the Word of God beating within us. A Scripture for every occasion. And as someone helped me recently, I was able to payback many fold. I looked around of people that I have come to know, through one way or another, and how they have shown kindness to me. Ruth 2: 11 Boaz noticed the kindness of Ruth, to a person not her flesh and blood. Boaz then not just gave her kindness, Ruth 2: 8-9, but how she cared for someone not family. And Boaz in turn, saw it as his opportunity. He was provided for. He was able to help, and he saw Ruth and Naomi, he saw the kindness flowing from Ruth, and in a statement I have dwelt on very much recently was Ruth 2: 12. Boaz saw that he was the one, the LORD God used, to protect and provide for Ruth and Naomi. Ruth, did not know what was going on spiritually. Boaz did. She came to work, but instead had stepped into the kingdom of God, via Boaz. And he knew he was God’s instrument for helping people. Ps 17:8 36:7 57:1 61:4 63:7 91:4 Mt 23:37. It is the LORD under whose wings we come. And the people of God know and understand, they are the instrument the LORD God uses to help others. Boaz never said…you have come under my wings…he said you have come under the LORD’s wings. We need to be that shelter and refuge, for people, as we know that we are displaying that image of God with which we are supposed to be made in. Many people will not help others. They just help themselves. Others look and invent and devise ways of helping others. I am so blessed in hearing that people I have helped recently, are already helping others with the help they received. This is a beautiful feeling that many come under the wings of the LORD, even if they do not know it. We are all given paths to walk on. And we are given by God, people who cross our path, for short or for long time. But what is important, is that we can have time to help people. Someone helps me, I help someone, they help someone. It is a beautiful feeling, for in each person, it is the Hand of God helping them. As we approach “lockdown” in 24 hrs, many are fearful. My concern, is not what I have for me, but my concern is will I still be able to help others. I was talking with someone and I told them- all on credit- they said “me too”. Meaning, we are the wings that God gives the people to come under. Why is Heb 13: 2 so important? You never know, who it is that you are helping. Be open hearted to help. You just do not know, but that person you help, may in the end be the one who helps you even more. But it starts with you. If you can “rescue” someone in their hour of need, the LORD Jesus will multiply it back to you for more than you can imagine. Never put a price on the amount you help, for the LORD will replenish the larder. Are you someone's Boaz?
