A BREAK.....

As we drag into the third month of worldwide absurd panic, we are now reaping the rewards. Son killing mother over a quarantine pass. People dying as to no medication for their condition. People seeing the greed of officials over not handing out funds evenly. People being threatened by police to be shot if they don’t line up properly and stop complaining. People line up to receive nothing. Blind people need proof they are blind. Not registered as human beings. Dead people registered. Its madness out there. So, I decided to take time off for 5 days from the negativity of the world; the Christian and non-Christian world- sometimes I honestly cannot tell the difference. I really do not know what people are trying to convince themselves in, as to their behaviour. What I do know, is when the world is falling apart- let it. Let them gulp down all the negative stupidity. Let them continue to fear. The worst is yet to come. Then, when the mountain has exploded, then what the eruption did not kill, the lava flow definitely will. And what the eruption did not kill, and what the lava flow did not kill, then fighting for food and killing will kill more. It is not over by a long way. Buckle up. The explosion must first come (we have only had the blanket). Then the rest will flow like a river. Ex 10: 5 is a start, but more clear in Joel 1: 4. These Scriptures are clear. There is a flow on effect. One thing, covid, cannot ever happen in isolation. There will always be add-ons. I mean, did you think that was it? Just covid? Goodness me no. The flow on effects, of peoples panic and fear, will flow on for years. Why? Wrong decisions now. Not Pizza overload but Panic overload. What hurts my heart most, is the effect this will have on Church relationships; member to member; on leadership relationships and where to from here? Of course the first church meeting will be leadership accountability to each other leader, and “where were you during covid, whilst others were visible?” This is the time, in any church, we expect the Leadership to shine. Lead by example. Have you observed the leaders of churches? Of course, we cannot comment on the ones we know nothing about. But it is a wonderful question to ask ourselves; where was my church, when I needed it? Where were my leaders, when I needed them? I made sure, when this whole giant test came, I made sure, I promised myself, whatever the cost, MCC will be there for the people as best as it can. And MCC will be there, as long as it can, to show the people, Jesus Loves You. Not by Words. They are easy. But by action. The spiritual and physical food continues. And so it will. Now, ask yourself a question, an honest question. Can people say- you were there for me? Well, maybe a month to go, so let’s get it together. Let’s stop with the excuses. Let us be there for each other. No need to ask “hi, how are you?” The answer is the same as for you. Finding life difficult. So, get with 2 Cor 1: 4. Comfort each other. Let’s use the tools we have to bring encouragement to each other. Of course, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink it. I can throw a challenge out to the leaders- but the leaders must take up the challenge. I can throw a challenge out to the members, but the members must take up the challenge. Some people were weak Christians before covid, during covid, and after covid they still will be. That is the way it is. Other were strong before, but somewhat faded. Others were strong before, strong during, and strong afterwards. This is the difference of being good at what you do, or loving what you do. They are not the same. We often hear, leaders are not made, they are born that way. Last time I checked, babies are born, and leaders are made. So, let us show our love to one another, for the LORD, for the church, MCC. First meeting back: leaders accountability meeting; first survey back- members- who impacted your life during covid? Stay blessed.
