This week, we have 2 Anniversaries. We have the Church, MCC and the 25th Anniversary. We have the School, MCLC with the 12th Anniversary. What do these Anniversaries mean? To whom do they actually have real feelings and emotions for? An Anniversary, for some is a meal. For others a celebration. For others an annual event. For others a banner as a dust protector. So, when we have an Anniversary, in life, called a birthday, or in marriage, a wedding anniversary, what do these days mean? To most, they have no meaning what so ever. They did not participate in the pain and hardship of giving birth, to two long standing institutions. The one, who feels the greatest triumph, is also the one who had the greatest pain. No pain; No gain. We can look at the awesome result of something, without seeing the awesome pain, which we went through to be where we are. We all have our thoughts on these institutions. Some may feel closer to one, than the other. Some may have no interest in one of them. So, the Anniversary (ies) mean different things to different people. As the Founder of both, what do I feel? I must look at these from two perspectives; from Spiritual and from Physical. Yet, even before that, what was my dream, goal, vision? For the Church, this was easy. I registered a church with SEC, before there was ever a church, MCC. So, the plan was always to have a church. A church for those less fortunate than others. And this still continues with HoH for 25 years. This week I was back to prison, after 3 years covid. Being with people from Eversley. This was what MCC is about. It has not changed direction from the start. It was never founded as a church for the wealthy. It was founded as a church where people can go to, and feel loved and wanted, whatever their status in life is. I have a solid foundation with the 2 Elders. They have been with me almost from the start. They are an encouragement to me. Someone to help carry the load. MCC, was all pressure for me alone. And with moral support, and by God’s grace we are here, after 25 years. God has used people in NZ, Australia, US, Malaysia, Singapore, in one way or another to help MCC financially over the years. Then we have the school, MCLC. This was started, by encouragement of one person. It was challenged to develop more by a past Principal, and then through circumstances like falling down stairs, it became a reality. The school was built. Oh, what pain. What fights! Building dimensions, under estimated, engineering City hall issues, cutting power; it was for giving up. But one person kept with me. Encouraged me. And here we are today, 12th year Preschool, and 5th year grade School. And almost Recognised by Dep Ed. The school? A fight all the way. Much pain. By God’s grace, we pushed through. We never gave up. Support from one person in OZ, and one person in Singapore to finish building it. All by God’s grace. In summary, what do the two mean to me? Cryptic. One is pain. One is gain. Enjoy your thoughts of MCC and MCLC Anniversaries.
