There are always stresses happening in life. There are always stresses in the family. A curse or a blessing? How do you see your family? A joy to be with them, or you just want to get away from them all? Something people do not seem to want to realise. Not all families fall over each other in love. Some families have such bitterness, arguing and tension. I remember when someone from House of Hope died. I went to the brother and said condolences on the death of your brother. And he replied I am happy, we finally got rid of him. He was a headache. So you see, not all people grieve when someone in their family dies. Maybe you are one of the ones who will say... great... they are dead… I am free!! Not everyone grieves. Some are thrilled. So, what about you? Some families get on very well, when there is no communication. As soon as there is communication, then there are arguments. So, better no communication, than arguments. Again, we must allow differences in families, thinking and relationships. There is no right or wrong family. There is for you, your family. They are your cross, or they are your joy. Many people pretend they have a loving family, but really they are so hurt with their family. You walk with the LORD. Your family has a different god. You follow the God of the Bible. They follow the god of the world. And when you present to them the real God, they cannot understand the real God. The know only god. Your family knows you as you were, before you were saved. Because they do not understand the meaning of a new creation, 2 Cor 5; 17. They know you as you were Mth 13:55-56. In your case, maybe a liar, a thief, violent person, etc. They see you as you were physically as they do not understand spiritually you are changed. Sometimes your family wants to make you feel guilty for the past. That is as they still live in the past. They judge you as you were. They cannot understand Rom 8:1 as they have not experienced that change. They live in a cocoon of the past. They do not understand the freedom of Christ, and what it means to loose the chains of guilt Luke 4:18 and oppression. They live in bitterness, unforgiveness, unable to let go of the past, and allow God to heal them. They demand apologies. They demand you comply to their world view. They curse at you. They judge you. Oh, what a beautiful verse, Rom 8: 1.
