Everything has a start and an end. In case you are not aware, the start of my vacation, is 1 August. All my MCC ministry ends, until Feb 2024. I will continue with Sunday Main Message only during August. Its both exciting, and also…challenging. Exciting as I will have a 6 month vacation, since I started working, full time, before my 17th birthday. And I never stopped working since then.So I am grateful to the LORD for this upcoming 6 months break, although actual absence will only be 5 Sep 2023 until end Nov 2023. I will still be here after that, but just allowing the MCC body to manage on their own. Ps Andy for spiritual matters, Mai and Ma’am for financial matters. I am blessed that MCC will apply Phil 4:14-19 in my travel abroad. Also three members who were in MCC before, will also help me in my travels. It is a spiritual blessing, and also humbling to be helped on my travels. Yet at the same time, Acts 20: 34 is also true, as provision has come through the school. So both Philippians 4: 14-19 is true as well as Acts 20:34. Also the similarity to Acts 20: 38 is also there, that I may never again see where I grew up from 4 years of age to about 23 or 24 years of age. So there are so many similarities in the journey of Paul, and in the story of my life. Paul’s dramatic conversion, Acts 9: 4-6, instantaneous, is what happened to me in Sydney. In church first time, heard the voice of the LORD Jesus say “I love you”, fell on my knees, cried, repented, and never walked out of church again. Had many struggles, failures, discouragements, loss of friends, loss of support in these years of walking with Christ, but I am still walking with Christ. Its not just 26 years as a Missionary in the Philippines, but also many years serving Christ in Australia; Bible study leading, jail ministry, Sunday School Teaching, Song leading...many years of serving the LORD, many years of working in my various jobs, and now, very close to a 6 month break. Am already missing people. I have seen people fall away. I have seen people change; from both bad to good, and good to bad. I have seen people stand firm in the faith, no matter the tests and trials, and I have also seen people fall, like a leaf, at a simple gentle breeze. Some people abroad never supported me, ever, for some 20 years, yet in the past few years, they have really been a financial strength to me. God uses us all in different ways. May you find peace, in God using you, for his kingdom.
