Distinction upon Distinction. That really struck me as I have been reading Exodus. God said he would make a distinction between his people, the Israelites and the Egyptians Exodus 8:23. Plagues that affected Egypt, did not affect the people in Goshen whatsoever. Then God makes another distinction; a distinction between himslef and his peiople Ex 19; whoever comes close to God (his people that is), will die. So God made a distinction upon a distinction, based upon the result he wanted to achieve and how that result was to be enacted. I see that as a very good way of making a distinction; then a distinction upon that distinction. When I came to Cebu 27 years ago, I lived in Guadalupe, I was a lecturer in ETCP. I happened to visit a local Christian orphange, of which Ps Ronald was involved. I asked the american owner, how do you survive? He said by sending out lots of letters for support That’s why people help. I noted all this. I then said, 27 years ago, if God gives me anything, I will leave all to the orphanage. I did not know that the LORD would give me 3 properties; for the church, for the school, for the working staff of the church and the school. Then, we are where we are. I am somewhat closer to sunset than I was 27 years ago. So, in my heart, the time had come, to do what must be done, with the 3 properties, according to my vow to God, 27 years ago. Slowly, I have chopped and changed leadership; names, titles, institutions. Many times. Always thinking, who do I want to be in charge of all that I will leave, to ensure continuation of ministries of church and school. So, I had to make a distinction between MCC people, as to who will be the best people, in a leadership team, in MCC and MCLC. So, I made a distinction from all the members, to get down to the group I felt, will move forward, with my mindset embedded in them. So, I made a distinction, and then chose Mai, Andy, Adrianne, Rizo, Ann, and Maam to be distinct from others. Some involved in MCC, some in MCLC, some in both, but all as one. Right. Got it. Team settled. Now, I had to make a distinction, within that distiction. Who will lead? A group of leaders, must have a leader. So, a distinction I had to make. I had a criteria I used. I looked at the past record of each, to determine the current and future direction of this group. The past is a very important gauge of the future. I looked at loyalty, faithfulness, financial capacity, morality and a whole list of “criteria” to make my decision. I had to look at 2 institutions, and also each as individual. And I made my decision. MCLC- Maam President, Mai Treasurer Ann as Secretary, Andy and Rizo Board members. I looked at MCC, who woiuld replace me as legal Pastor of a Coporate Sole. Mai first, then after her Maam. So, two generations ahead, when many of us will be gone, there is still a leader of the 2 institutions, from my Generation. Now, team in place, board in place, off to the Attorneys. This Monday, as to my vow to God, I handed all 3 properties to MCLC Inc. Promise kept. With nothing I came to the philippines. With nothing I leave this earth with nothing . Vow fulfilled. .
