Fear God.....

I have noticed that there is a lot of emphasis in MCC recently on. "What is your fear?". Ghosts, people, peer group, money, health, and other things seem to be people's answers. Many other answers too. Whilst these things are real issues, I believe that also too much discussion on this negativity is not spiritually healthy.  I may be wrong, but I never heard anyone say "I fear God". Scripture states "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom". Pro 9:10-12. It seems that there is no fear of God. It seems people take salvation for granted. How many people in MCC come to Christ. Get saved. Get baptised.  Go back to the world. How many in 27 years? Hundreds. And you think they are saved? Read  Heb 10 :29. Why have they walked away? 1 John 2:19.  They had no fear of God. They feared their husband or wife or father or mother or son or daughter or boss or friends or teachers or brother or sister or or or or. They did not fear God.  Fearing God, is what keeps us in Repentance.  Knowing we must keep fearing God till we die is very healthy for our souls.  Faith is about grace, love, hope, struggles. Faith requires both love and fear of God's  awesome power. Faith understands we must persevere in Faith in God. Faith does not lose fear of God. True faith is Hebrew YARE  reverential fear of God.  If you do not stand in your faith you will not stand at all Is 7:9.  We need to focus more on the fear of God than any human fears. Do not fear the one who can kill the body but the one who can send you to Gehenna. Simply, the lake of fear. Where is the verse...we have t-shirt on this...God did not give me a spirit of fear....2. Tim 1:7. Imagine,  wearing a t-shirt and saying...I fear etc. etc. No faith. No understanding.  Let's stop pity parties. Let's be strong. Let's be blessed. Let's lovingly stand firm. Fear God.
