We all have different ministries to do, yet effectively they have the same end result. Some can see what is needed, and others cannot. Some do what they are told to do, not knowing why. Others understand what they were to do, after they did it. We do things, for different reasons. And at the time, that is a good thing, for we are doing something. Some do not do, or drag their feet in doing, very important things, yet could do so much more if they could just see how important they really are. And in that sense, we are all vets. And we should work in the same veterinary hospital. The end objective of a sanctuary for birds with malnourished or undergrown wings? The end result is to bring the bird, into full health so she can fly away, and continue on her journey, after a 12 month hospitalisation. Recharged, strong, ready to face all the challenges ahead - that is why the tender bird, came to the exact veterinary hospital, that the owner wanted her to go to. There are many hospitals around; but the bird owner chose this specific one. The doctors in the hospital should count it a privilege they were chosen, to be used, by the owner, to restore his tender bird. Well, the day has finally come, and the healthy and restored and revitalized bird, has flown the coop. Sad, yet happy. Sad to see the bird go. Happy that it continues on its life’s journey, with a new outlook, on the same world. A special task is ahead for this bird. But the bird must remain strong and focused on the big task ahead. 1 Cor 3: 7 it’s not about planting or watering, it’s about the growth. And the LORD indeed makes his plants grow. But, no planting, no watering, no growth. Growth takes different lengths of time, depending on the seed, and the hardness of the kernel. But, when God makes it grow, it grows. So quickly, that in a 12 month turnaround, it is ready to fly Is 40: 31 mounted with wings like eagles, ready to fly, soar and travel with the wind. Recharged. Gently, but purposefully a new task in hand. Lam 3: 25 - there is nothing like knowing, being aware, you are dying, weakening, spiritually. And it is a good thing to realise your soul needs spiritual input. Job 17: 9 growing stronger and stronger. Drip feed. Bible studies always, church always, ministry always. We need to know, what we need. We need to know what our soul needs. Ps 103: 5, renewed like a youth, like an eagle. Youth, eagles, strength - it is so inspiring. We truly need to know, not physical sickness/tiredness; but when we are weak spiritually. But for some, it is perhaps a place where they convince themselves - I am weak, I am weak. When in fact, the true condition is - I am lazy, I am lazy. That is when we need to recognise the difference. That is when we need to do, the hard things, the hard choices, because we see the spiritual need is what brings us through life and not the physical need. As for me; I was blessed. Sent the bird to the fly off point. Off into the sunset she flew. Mixed emotions. The future will reveal all.
