Look at what God has given us- Ecc 3: 13- eat, drink, work; these are a gift from God. Ecc 3: 22- man should enjoy his work. God’s gift to us, is food, drink, work- the very thing that governments are doing their best to take away from us. They are putting conditions on what was a gift from God. You can’t eat -unless. You can’t work -unless. You can’t drink -unless. You can’t travel to buy or work -unless. It is sad, a God given right, is taken from us. Ecc 2: 24 from God’s hand is the right to eat, drink, and be happy in work. A God given right. Ps 128: 2, Is 65: 21ff- all these are what God has given us. It is not a human right, it is a God given right. And we see, as we are not blind, we see how these are all taken away from us. People are folding. Collapsing. Again. Youth are suiciding in alarming numbers. Society is literally crumbling before our eyes. After a few months of respite, then comes the delta, eta, theta, iota etc. If life from God is crushed, pre delta, what will life be like by theta, iota? Is it the end? Is it a large wakeup call (though people still sleeping). Life was meant to be happy, joyful, people encouraging people. People helping people. And as the world seeks to pull us down in its darkness, we must ride the waves high above where the world is. We are in the world, but do not belong to it, or its thinking- 2 Cor 10: 3; John 15: 19b we are chosen out of this world, so we should not think as it does. The world, and above the world. We can be too earthly, that we are of no spiritual good. And we can be too spiritual, that we are of no earthly good. We can pray, and do nothing. Or we can do nothing, but pray. Both of these are extremes. Mth 4: 4 brings them together, a balance. And in our lives, in these difficult times, we need a balanced approach. Any extreme is not beneficial to anyone, not even yourself. And yet, it is the extreme measures of the world, to cope with delta, that pull on many people. This is our fight. Not with others, but a spiritual fight. And in this we really need to pray. Pray for strength, to be an example to others of Christian perseverance. Pray that the LORD speaks to us, our errors, so that our own walk with the LORD is right. We pray for strength to cope with the harsh measures of the world, and be a strong tower for others. Pray that delta will not take you back to alpha. Pray, that you ride above all that would seek to pull you down. Life is a gift. It is God’s gift. That, is our divine right; to live and enjoy life.
