I Don't Need Encouragement.....

We always hear... Do not forget to meet together. So many times, go to study. Go to study. Join in together. Perhaps a review of why this verse is important in the christian life. Outside of Christianity when I wanted to chill I would go to a pub. I would sit there with my black Russian. Other times I would try to get in a game of tennis. Other times I would just... am trying to think... I would just drink. That was my outlet in life. Until I bought my boat. Then each Monday, my day off, I would go sailing by myself. That's how I coped with life. When I came to Christ I realised the reason and purpose of studies. Fellowships. They were made by God for us so that we could step out of the world of hardships and pressures. And we could step into the world where we are all equal. All learning. All growing. As we need encouragement it takes a while for us to mature into the Christian mindset from law to love. Law. I must go to church. I must study bible. I have no choice as a Christian. Love. I love to be with my friends. I love to hear their stories and share mine. I love to step out of this wearisome world and have close contact with like minded people. Believers. It takes some people one week of Christianity to understand this. I know people in MCC who still do not attend studies every week. Why? They don't see Christianity for what it is. They don't understand love. Encouragement. Time together. They are consumed by their... dislike of people in studies. They are consumed by their judging those around them. Therefore they have no reason to attend. No desire to attend. They do not open up. They keep their little family walls. They encourage no one. They can't, because they have not yet learnt the meaning of encourage each other. So, when is the best time to be encouraged? When you are down. Lonely. Heartbroken. In pain. In difficulty. That's the exact time to go to study. To go to church. To go to studies, church fellowships and spiritual activities. Yet, for the immature in Christ that is the exact time they do not go. And they do not grow. It's when life is raging against you, that is the exact time you need to be with fellow believers to get spiritual strength. You teach. You lead. You minister. And by that very hard effort you are encouraged and are an encourager. Don't let your pains and heartbreaks rule you. You rule them. Go... encourage someone. You will be encouraged.
