One of the things about SNL’s for 23 years, is that it gives you solutions to problems in life. It presents the problem, and it also shows you solutions. Right and wrong solutions to your problems. People who want to learn to deal with people, the ways of God, the ways of the world, always enjoy reading something that will challenge them to think about life and situations. The SNL is not for all. No doubt some have never read one of them, ever. Others read them all the time. They are usually (always) to do with something I have been through. Today, as in many times, it is to do, not with Peter’s words, but my words, yet I use Peter’s Scripture to make my point; 2 Peter 3: 16. The ignorant and unstable twist- to their own destruction. Now, stop and think; distort, to their own destruction. That means to the Lake of Fire. So, you twist Scripture; result, you go to the Lake of Fire. What is difficult to understand? The problem is that people do not understand what a person says, let alone means, and they make up their own ideas of what you said. Instead of going to you, asking what you meant, they talk to everyone about what you said- which is not what you at all meant, but because their lack of understanding (ignorant) or their lack of intelligence (stupid) they concoct what you said and meant, twist the whole thing, and you are left saying to yourself- what on earth is in their brain? Answer? A mess. And that is to be helped, not to be scorned at. The question is a very simple one- will they hold on, till they understand, or will they walk away? Sadly, most walk away, without the person admitting they were wrong in their understanding. They believe you said one thing, and they go to people they can convince- 2 Tim 4:3. Even worse than that, they go to pagans for their thoughts on spiritual things - 1 Cor 6: 1. Seriously? You ask a person who wouldn’t know their way around a Bible, for their spiritual opinion? You ask them how much time they spend with God, and they look at you. They do not pray. They do not read. They are deluded that they go to heaven and ignore the LORD their whole life, except for Is 29:13 - lip service to God. Did not Paul and Jeremiah say the same thing - Jer 51: 6; 2 Cor 6:17? You cannot grow spiritually unless you first learn, to struggle, to question, that which you always believed “God sayeth” when in fact he never did. It’s all man’s rules. There is a time to be patient, say a year, to give people time to grow spiritually; after that, it is cut-off time Luke 13: 6-9. There is a cut off time for fruit to be borne on a tree- otherwise it is just wasted space that a blessed and a person who is a blessing could use. A useless tree, is a discouraging person. Let them go. They are but trouble makers in the ministry - 2 Tim 4: 14. You try to teach people about Christ, and then another comes along and due to their ignorance of spiritual things, they cause spiritual trouble and spiritual confusion, where you have sown for many years. A very difficult Scripture is Mth 7: 6. You must decide who is a swine. You must decide how long you must fertilise. You must decide when to cut off the wasted time and wasted space, these are very hard and very spiritual decisions. But they must be made, by those who have the spiritual insight, the spiritual authority, and the spiritual discernment. This is not for all; as many people cannot see what even they are doing. Luke 12:57 - can’t you make a right decision? It’s time to cut. It’s time to stop wasting time.
