Ready for "NO"...

We are all blessed by both messages last Sunday about waiting and it's comforting to wait patiently for the LORD Lam 3:26. For the things we prayed for with no answer yet, maybe we are on his "waiting list" and maybe not, because not all who wait will get a "yes" even though you wait for it patiently, it will not be given to you if it's not for you John 3:27. God is a good father 1 John 3:1 a good father knows what's best for his children. My father when I was a kid didn't allow me to do all the things I liked to do, though it seemed good to me, but not for him. So I cried and thought he doesn't love me anymore, he's overreacting and he tries to take away the things that make me happy. Young people nowadays think they're intelligent enough, they think they know better than their parents Isaiah 55:8 Our thoughts and God's thoughts are not the same. Even if we convince ourselves that our thoughts and motives are good still it's not convincing to the one who knows better than we do. Do you wait for a "YES" answer? Do you wait for it patiently? If we are on his "waiting list" God builds our character until we are ready enough to get the "YES" answer. As what Kuya Jun said last Sunday, when we wait, God is molding us during this process. My question now is, are you really on the "waiting list"? Or are you just waiting for nothing, as God said "NO" a long time ago? When God says "NO" to you, is it bad? Again Isaiah 55:8 It can be bad for those who don't understand, for those who are hard headed to accept the truth that it's not good for them. But for God, it's for our own best as in Jeremiah 29:11 He has a good plan, not a bad plan. If we just trust him, we will become a better person as God wants us to be. If you know how to wait, you should also be ready for "NO" answer. You can cry like a child and think that God doesn't love me anymore, he doesn't want me to be happy anymore, that's childish 1Cor 13:11. If he said "NO", don't wait, you're on the wrong list, just accept it, acceptance makes you wise in heart Proverbs 9:8 So don't get disappointed for "NO" answer, just accept it and trust God for your own benefit.
