Today was a wonderful day.
I went to the women's jail this morning after at least 9 months of absence. I was quite emotional. Some women were crying. It is the very essence and reality of Christ that you can touch a complete stranger's heart, and through the Bible, form heart friendships. I shared with them my past few months. I know they were very sad over what the muscular atrophy has done to me. I have been going to prison for over 10 years. They are strict. Yet I believe the LORD God touched the guards hearts. Contact with the women are strictly prohibited. I asked quickly from a guard, who used to give me a hard time, if I could hug the women. She said yes. Hugs and tears with the women. It was a memorable time for me.
I was reminded right then of Paul saying goodbye to the Ephesians at the beach Acts 20:37. Will I be ever back there? I don't know. I hope so. But it was. a beautiful precious time. I have found that in life people who should be close, are not. But strangers, who we don't normally know, in Christ we are very close. I have found my fulfillment in Christ. I then went on to visit a man in jail. We spoke for 40 mins. It was lovely to see him and catch up on life. He has finally had a doctor visit him after 5 years of requests. Things move slow when you are an outcast. It was so blessed to be able to show the outcasts that they are loved. That people care. Yes I too worked like you. I was actively involved in church, prison, and all things Christian. Find meaning in your life. Serve Christ. And after jail...aircon issues. No fulfillment there...
