Stop Stealing…..

It is really amazing that the LORD gives you clues, but we cannot see or understand them. It was really amazing that two thoughts the LORD put into my mind, for the Passover skit, was stealing, which is betrayal of trust, and healing. My 2 brief skits were on stealing and healing. Both were real. One difficult to cope with, the other powerful testimony of God’s grace. It is reliving Ecc 7: 14b, no one knows the future. And who would have thought that a thief was amongst us, at the LORD’s Table, and also a person jumping up and down with a sprained foot. There is a point of time in our life, that we must recognise the works of darkness. I know full well the LORD sent a stealing spirit, 1 Kings 22: 22, And I know full well, that satan is the father of lies John 8: 44. So we have children of light Eph 5: 8 and we have children of the devil 1 John 3:10. The heroes of the Bible are murderers, thieves, drunkards, liars, betrayers. But what makes a person, do wrong, for so long, whilst pretending to be something they are true and honest, yet in reality, a lurking thief, stealing from God’s offering, stealing from people’s rights??? Peter literally betrayed Jesus. And after sometime, he was restored. He repented. Judas betrayed Jesus, he killed himself. He did not repent, he just felt sorry for himself. Great harm comes to God’s people when your wrong behaviour is seen by others. The Christian testimony, is destroyed. You not only bring hardship on yourself, but to many who trusted you. Deut 23: 17-18 do not bring filthy money to God- dog money and prostitute money. Pro 26: 28 a lying tongue hates those it crushes in spirit. I have always felt, rightly or wrongly, keep your sins to yourself. Do not affect anyone, anyone with your sins. It shatters faith, friendship and trust. That’s why Paul said Eph 4: 28 he who steals must not do it any longer. Friends, do not steal from God. Do not steal from people. Do not steal from yourself. You must not steal any longer. What is the point of all your talk, ministry, years of walking with the LORD, when in fact it will be revealed you were not who you pretended to be. Imagine, it was all a masquerade. A pretence. Job 34: 32 – if I have done wrong, I will not do it again. A beautiful verse. The sad part of sin is that it brings us down, brings others down, ruins our integrity; and that is hard to recover. God’s grace is, he allows us to work things through. He gives us a fresh start, an opportunity to regain our love fir Jesus. Stop doing wrong. Learn to do right Is 1: 16c. You will only destroy yourself.
