A question or two to reflect on. As this is my reflection. Who are we? Why are we as we are? Are we a product of our environment? Do years and years of similar circumstances mold us? Does God put us in situations that are totally different from our mind, life, concepts, decisions? Let's take a hypothetical situation, so we can compare. Two people break their foot. Same so far. One person flooded with support. Family all over them. Encouraged all the time. The other has to deal with it by themselves. One goes away for a holiday. Flooded with support. The other goes on holiday. All alone. Both have a broken foot. One leans on others. The other leans on themselves. One prays, thank you LORD for your love and strength shown by my support mechanisms. The other prays, thank you LORD for your strength to me. Shown by your strength to me. So far both arrive at the same place. But then their experiences mold them. One is very reliant on others and surrounded by love. The other is alone. Fights not only the broken leg, but the road to recovery. Do they have the same outlook on life? No. Of course not. They can't. They see life through very different lenses. Both may arrive at the same situations. Plural. But both take different directions in handling situations. Who are we? We are very much a product of our circumstances. They mold our thinking. Dependent. Team player. Independent. Individual. They approach situations as God laid out their paths. Here is the profound question. Are both right? Can both do the same things? Each is correct as to their own perspective of both life and God. Is there a better option of the two? Each has their own role. Their own direction. One does what the other cannot. The other does what the one cannot. Both end up walking again. But arriving there in very different ways. The end result achieved, in different ways. Who are we? Very very much according to our upbringing. Very much according to life experiences. God uses each according to how he sees fit.
