If you look back in your life, and someone asks you; would you do this? And it is something you are against- you would say No, I would never do that. Yet, sometime down the track, it is done, you have done the opposite to what you believe in. Like my pastor, Pastor Norm. At first- If Adam is in heaven, the cause of the world’s problems, I want to know why. He shouldn’t be there. Then after 60 years of ministry, he said one Sunday- Adam is in heaven, as God made the first sacrifice for him. Wow, what a change of mind! Two totally opposite. If you asked me up until a couple of weeks, would I get a covid vaccine; I would say NEVER! And here I am with a sore left arm after the AZ injection. What changed? My feelings on the issue? No. They are the same. Don’t want it. Don’t like it. But I must have it. As a leader, I am expected to lead the way in doing all these things- set a good example so people can follow. But I was never convinced, still am not, of its need. Remember, God is greater than all the human wisdom. Many people lined up quickly to get the injection, due to fear of death. They had zero trust in God. Zero as in zero. It was...save me, Mr and Ms Government from death. Baloney! So what changed? The laws came crashing in on me. Dep Ed- all teachers and all Staff, must be vaccinated. What changed? For Jail ministry, no vaccine, no jail. So, now a choice; end ministry, end school, without God’s permission (a lot of people do things without God’s permission), or comply, with the paperwork, so the ministry and school remains. The paperwork, is a little paper card, which basically says- complied; stay open school and go to jail as you have fully complied. These are changing times. So many bits of paper required, little bits of paper, in order to travel, eat in some places, go to gyms (perish the thought, go to cinema, goodness me in 50 years have been, the places always stank and made me puke), so I could manage without the paper. But to employ teachers, I needed the paper. For jail, I needed the paper. So, basically, in life, circumstances can dictate our next move. We do not need a megaphone from God; we just get squeezed in; comply or drop your ministry as you are non-compliant. Comply or drop your career, as you are non-compliant. The choice, is taken out of our hands by God. To continue to live, do as before, now needs new rules. Dr Thelmo once said to me- give them what they want, or shut down. So, no choice. Scriptures for all this? A missionary served the LORD for 30 years on the field. He had enough. He took a plane home. The plane crashed. All died. He spoke to God- God, I served you for 30 years. Am on my way home for a rest. Why did you crash my plane? God replied- who told you to get on the plane? I didn’t. Friends, don’t end, what God never told you to end. It will be your loss. Onwards …
